One of the most important symbols of Catholicism in Chile and an establishment of official religion, brought by the arrival of the Spanish conquistadors in the sixteenth century. Inside, a crypt houses the remains of archbishops and bishops of Chile. In addition, it emphasizes the Monument to the Heroes of the Battle of the Conception, that keeps the four hearts of the fallen captains in combat.
