Are you ready for the Pan Am Games in Santiago? The Singular is.

Michael Phelps. Carl Lewis. Simone Biles. Donovan Bailey. Alex Morgan.

Recognize those names? Each are legends of their sport who have competed in, and won, gold medals in the Olympic Games. Yet before they were launched into the stratosphere of sports history, these athletes got their start at the second largest multi-sport event in the world: The Pan American Games.

Created in 1951, the games feature athletes from across the Americas competing in a wide variety of events. The Pan Am Games are held every four years, and are one year before the Summer Olympics, which means spectators get a first look at athletes who may very well become Olympic icons.

This year the Pan Am Games are being held in Santiago, and we couldn’t be more excited.

This is the first time an event such as this has been held in our capital. We’re thrilled to show the world our culture, beauty, and hospitality. Plus, visitors will get to see how hard the city and surrounding region have worked hard to build the venues and infrastructure needed to host such a large (nearly 7,000 participants from 41 countries!) and athletically diverse (38 different sports!) event. In fact, the entirety of Chile is excited, as you’ll see during the Torch Relay, which traverses 16 regions of the country.

Perhaps the biggest reason we’re excited… The Singular Santiago is at the heart of it all! There is no better hotel in Santiago (don’t take our word for it – travelers put us at the top) to use as a home base for this unique and renowned event.

So come join us for this quadrennial competition at The Singular. You might just see the next legend of the sports world before they become famous!
