Our Favorite Part of Seeing Families Traveling in Chile

“Traveling in the company of those we love is like home in motion.”

– Leigh Hunt

There were many lessons we learned from the pandemic, but near the top of the list was this: Take nothing for granted, especially time with family.

It’s true for travel, as well. Many of us looked forward to setting off on an adventure, and we assumed such exploration would always be possible. There were always dates circled on the calendar— vacations to look forward to, a chance to connect with those we love the most in a place we’d never forget.

Then the world changed, and we had to put those moments off. Our perspective shifted.

Now, the world has opened up and travelers are invigorated, brimming with excitement, and seem to be more focused on what really matters. After being reminded that two things we all  love—being with family and exploring the world—could be taken away, people are embracing multi-generational travel more than ever.

For many,  visiting dream family destinations like Chile has become a priority. After all, there’s no time like the present, and no better way to spend our time than with the ones we love in an unforgettable place.

Here at The Singular, we love seeing firsthand the joy of families who have embarked on an adventure to Chile. In Patagonia, for example, we see the grins on the faces of parents and grandparents as they watch the kids ride horses at picturesque Estancia Bahia Esperanza and kayak at pristine Sofia Lake. Or watching three generations enjoying the cultural treasures of Santiago—from art museums and charming cafes to performance spaces and parks—as it creates ripples of inspiration and discussion.

Our favorite part, though, is seeing these families eating at our world-class restaurants in Santiago and Patagonia. Watching them laugh around the table, recounting their favorite experiences of the day. These are the moments where we can see, in real time, memories being made and bonds growing stronger.

It’s an honor to be a part of that, and that’s one of the reasons we’ve built our hotels to appeal to families. We wanted to create a space where, as the English writer Leigh Hunt notes above, loved ones can both feel at home and in motion. Where they can experience the thrills of travel and the warmth of family in a truly Singular setting.

We invite you and your whole clan to put your home in motion, and start making memories you’ll cherish for years to come. Join us for an adventure in Chile.
