THE SINGULAR HOTELS

FROM A FAMILY TRADITION TO THE SINGULAR HOTELS

The story of The Singular Hotels began long before the brand existed. Rooted in a generational family tradition of hospitality, it found its own voice in two landscapes deeply tied to Chile: Patagonia and Santiago.

The roots of a tradition

1913

Paul and Berta Sahli arrived in Chile from Switzerland. With them began a family story that, decades later, would find in hospitality a genuine way to express service, attention to detail, and bringing people together.

1960

Hospitality becomes a craft

The Sahli family took over the operation of Hotel Crillón, one of Santiago’s grand historic hotels. There, they consolidated a style of hosting based on personalized service, culinary excellence, and an instinct for anticipating every guest’s need.

1978

The legacy continues

The closure of Hotel Crillón marked the end of an era, but not the family’s bond with the world of hospitality. Their experience and vision of service continued to expanded into new initiatives across Chile and the region.

The restoration of the historic Frigorífico Puerto Bories made it possible to imagine a hotel intimately connected to its heritage and wild surroundings. It was there that the vision behind The Singular Hotels began to take shape.

The Singular returns to Santiago

The Singular Santiago opened in the historic Lastarria neighborhood, bringing the collection’s vision into an urban setting. The city’s history, culture, and vibrant contemporary life shaped a distinctive second expression of The Singular.
