THIS SEASON
Te creo paisaje: Enrique Ramírez at the National Museum of Fine Arts
VISUAL ARTS
The National Museum of Fine Arts presents the largest exhibition of Chilean artist Enrique Ramírez’s work ever held in the country. Through video, photography, and installations, the exhibition explores landscape as a space shaped by memory, identity, and transformation, bringing together works from different stages of his career alongside new creations.
LANDSCAPE, MEMORY, AND PLACE
Curated by Jacopo Crivelli Visconti, Te creo paisaje brings together 24 works created between 2008 and 2026, including previously unseen pieces and works featured in major international exhibitions.
The exhibition explores migration, belonging, historical memory, and the relationship between people and the places they inhabit. The sea and landscape play a central role in Ramírez’s practice, offering a perspective on identity and the transformations shaping the contemporary world.
Among the featured works is Where there is the only north (2024), a multimedia installation that contrasts the beauty of Chilean Patagonia with the environmental impact of industrial salmon farming.
The exhibition also includes installations in the museum’s main hall, creating a dialogue between the building’s architecture, its collection, and contemporary art.
AN EXHIBITION TO DISCOVER IN SANTIAGO
Internationally recognized for his work in film and visual arts, Enrique Ramírez has participated in major international art events, including the 2017 Venice Biennale. This exhibition marks his first solo presentation at the National Museum of Fine Arts.
Located alongside Parque Forestal, just a short walk from The Singular Santiago, the museum is one of the city's leading cultural institutions.
